Discover how to upgrade spirits in Black Myth: Wukong. Learn about Keeper’s Shrines, required materials, and spirit cultivation techniques.
Black Myth: Wukong lets you harness the power of defeated beasts as spirits. These spirits can be summoned in battle to unleash powerful moves. Let’s dive into how you can upgrade these spirits in Black Myth: Wukong.
To start upgrading your spirits head to a Keeper’s Shrine. These shrines are scattered throughout the game world. Once there look for the Self-Advance section. Within this menu, you’ll find the Cultivate Spirits option.
After selecting a spirit to upgrade you’ll notice it requires different materials. The first upgrade usually only needs Will which is the game’s main currency. As you level up spirits further they’ll demand rarer items.
Will is the easiest to come by. You earn it by:
Other materials are trickier to obtain. Some drop from specific bosses while others hide in chests or containers.
To summon a spirit in battle you need Qi. Fill your Qi meter by landing hits on enemies. Once full you can unleash your spirit’s power.
Remember upgraded spirits deal more damage or use less Qi.
If you want to switch things up, open the menu and head to the Equipment section. Here you can swap out your equipped spirit.
Be careful though! Changing spirits mid-exploration empties your Qi meter. It’s best to do this near a Keeper’s Shrine where you can quickly refill.
By following these tips and making good use of Keeper’s Shrines, you’ll soon have a formidable array of spirits at your disposal.
Remember each upgrade makes your spiritual allies stronger giving you an edge in tough battles. Now get out there and start cultivating those spirits!
