Big changes are coming to how you earn rewards in Fortnite. Starting this December, you’ll be able to level up all your passes no matter which Fortnite mode you’re playing. Let’s break down what’s changing and how it affects you.

Fortnite Battle Pass Changes

Good news for all of you Fortnite players. Battle Stars, Festival Points, and Studs will all be retired as a currency system starting December 1st, 2024.

You will no longer need to worry about grinding for specific currencies to unlock rewards. Instead, you can focus on earning XP and progressing through the Battle Pass, Music Pass, and LEGO Pass.

In short, you’ll earn XP that counts toward all your active passes, whether you’re playing Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, or jamming in Fortnite Festival. This means you can focus on playing what you enjoy most while still making progress across all passes.

After December 1st, new Music and LEGO Passes will switch to a single-track system that includes both free and premium rewards – similar to how the Battle Pass works now. You’ll still need to buy premium passes to get the best stuff, but everything will be organized in one clean list.

The Festival Pass (soon to be called the Music Pass) will be the first to get these updates on November 2nd, 2024. You’ll be able to level it up by playing any Fortnite mode, not just Festival. This gives you a chance to try out the new system before the bigger December update.

This new system means easier reward management for players. Once you unlock reward pages, you’ll be able to claim items in any order, making it easy to prioritize what you want.

There’s even an auto-claim option if you’d rather not manage rewards manually. Plus, if there’s something specific you’re after, you can buy it directly without leveling up.

To make the most of the new system, here are a few tips. If you have multiple passes, play any mode you enjoy since your progress will count across all passes.

For specific rewards, you can either level up naturally or buy them directly if there’s something you want right away. Premium content still requires purchasing each pass separately to access exclusive rewards.

Finally, consider turning on auto-claim if you’re not concerned with choosing the order in which you unlock rewards.

The new changes make Fortnite’s reward system easier to use. Now, you can play any mode you like, and all your passes will level up at once without worrying about different currencies or grinding!
