Fortnite introduces a new feature – Backfire Car Body in its Rocket Racing mode. The good news is you can get the Backfire Car Body without spending any money.
This guide will show you how to get this Backfire Car Body for free in Rocket Racing mode in Fortnite.
How to Unlock the Backfire Car Body for Free in Fortnite
The Backfire Car Body is part of the new Metallica crossover event in Fortnite. To get it you’ll need to complete some quests in Rocket Racing.
Your main goal is to finish 10 Metallica quests in Rocket Racing. Right now there are 20 quests available. More will come out on June 17 and June 21.
But you can get started right away! Here’s how:
- Go to the Rocket Racing mode in Fortnite.
- Look for the “Quests” tab at the top of your screen.
- Check out the Metallica quests listed there.
Tips for Completing Quests
Most quests can be done just by playing Rocket Racing normally. So if you enjoy the mode you’ll make progress without even trying! Some quests might ask you to:
- Finish races
- Use turbo boosts
- Drift around corners
Don’t stress if you don’t win every race. Just taking part often counts!
The Thrash Mountain Track
Keep an eye out for quests that mention the “Thrash Mountain” track. This is a special Metallica-themed course. Some quests can only be done there.
To access Thrash Mountain:
- Go to Rocket Racing mode
- Select “New Tracks by Epic”
- Choose “Thrash Mountain”
- Hit “Select” and start racing!
Unlock the Backfire Car Body Bundle in Fortnite
Completing 5 Metallica quests unlocks the Chasing Light Wheels while getting 10 quests done will earn you the Backfire Car Body. But there’s more to unlock!
If you want all the cool Decals and Paintworks complete all 20 Metallica quests. It’ll take a bit longer but your ride will look amazing.
The Trash Mountain track and Metallica quests will be in Rocket Racing until August 16, 2024, at 9 PM ET. Make sure you don’t miss it!
