Check out this guide to find out how to get Power Cells to fuel your new LEGO Fortnite vehicles.

The recent 29.10 update introduced drivable vehicles, but you’ll need a specific item to get them running – the Power Cell. This guide explains how to craft and use Power Cells in LEGO Fortnite.

The three main steps to get power cells in LEGO Fortnite are as follows:

1. Make a Compost Bin

First, you need to build a Compost Bin using 5 Planks, 2 Soil, 1 Sand, and 3 Fertilizer.

2. Create Biomass

Throw any materials into the Compost Bin to produce Biomass over time. Upgrade your Crafting Bench at least once to unlock the Biomass recipe.

3. Craft Power Cells

With 50 Biomass and 6 Glass, you can now craft a Power Cell at your Crafting Bench. Get Glass by smelting Sand from beaches or deserts.

Using Power Cells

Things to look out for when using Power Cells in LEGO Fortnite:

Inserting Power Cells

Once you build a vehicle chassis, you’ll need to place a Power Center on it. Larger Power Centers require more Cells but last longer. Simply interact with the Center and insert your Power Cells.

Vehicle Design Tips

For best driving, have two front wheels that turn and two powered rear wheels. This setup makes steering and moving forward easier.

Battery Life

Remember, Power Cells only last so long before depleting. Make sure to stockpile extras before long trips!

These and other new updates for LEGO Fortnite are thoroughly covered in the v29.10 patch notes. Stay tuned for more news on Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 with Gamewitted!
