Get Star Points fast to level up Mario in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year-Door by defeating monsters with this guide.
In order to level up Mario you need to get Star Points in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Star Points are like experience points and you need 100 Star Points to get to the next level.
This article breaks down the ways to get Star Points in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
The best way to get Star Points is to defeat every enemy you meet. This is easy at first but gets harder when you level up and the weak enemies don’t give as many points.
The two best locations to get lots of Star Points in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is as follows:
After you learn to turn sideways, you can go left of the Palace of Shadow entrance. There is a warp pipe that takes you to the Pit of 100 Trials.
The lower floors like 1-9 have easier enemies like Gloombas and Dull Bones that still give decent Star points. Try these floors if the higher ones seem too difficult.
Later in the game, look for the tough Amazy Dayzee enemies on Twilight Trail between Twilight Town and Creepy Steeple, or on floors 90-99 of the Pit.
The game warns these enemies to have high HP and run away fast, so beat them quickly.
Equip Mario with the Power Bounce badge from Hooktail Castle to do more damage to tough enemies like Amazy Dayzees.
Using partner abilities like Power Bounce and Multi-Bounce also helps defeat enemies and get Star Points faster in Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door.
When you see an Amazy Dayzee or other strong enemy, use Power Bounce or your strongest attack right away to take off a lot of its HP. If it tries to run away, chase after it and attack again.
With powerful offense badges and partners using Multi-Bounce, you can get 30-40 Star Points for beating a single tough enemy in Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door.
To get to the maximum level in The Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door, you have to keep getting lots of Star Points.
Fight easier enemies in the lower Pit levels early on, then go after Amazy Dayzees and other powerful enemies later to level up Mario quickly.
