How to Get the Turtle Tear in Black Myth: Wukong

To get the Turtle Tear you’ll need to make your way to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake. This area becomes accessible after you’ve progressed through the chapter and escaped the Pagoda Realm.

First, you must defeat the Macaque Chief at the Warding Temple. After this fight, continue along the main path until you reach an ice slope. Sliding down this slope will trigger a cutscene featuring Kang-Jin Star.

You’ll need to fight Kang-Jin Star so make sure you have Shock-Quelling Powder handy. This item will help you deal with her attacks that can inflict the Shocked status.

Reaching the Bitter Lake

After defeating Kang-Jin Star, talk to the Pig at the top of the hill. This will trigger another cutscene and transport you to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper’s Shrine.

From the Keeper’s Shrine head right towards the water. Follow this path and you’ll know you’re going the right way when you spot several carcasses of giant snakes. There might be some flying enemies here but you can ignore them if you want.

Battling the Apramana Bat

Keep moving towards the carcasses and you’ll come to an archway. As you approach the main body of the snake you’ll be interrupted by the Apramana Bat boss.

This fight shouldn’t be too difficult but make sure you have some Body-Warming Powder to counter the Chill effect.

After defeating the boss it will fly away. You can then interact with the carcass which will start a cutscene where the Turtle sheds a tear.

Claiming the Turtle Tear

Once the cutscene ends move to the Turtle’s location. Look for the Turtle Tear right below its head. This Soak will recover a moderate amount of Mana when you use the gourd at full Health.

Remember that getting the Turtle Tear is optional but it can be a helpful item to have in your journey through Black Myth: Wukong. The Turtle quest not only rewards you with a useful Soak but also reveals more about the game’s lore and the relationship between the giant animal guardians.
