There are two other missions included in The Bridge to Yokohama quest in Rise of the Ronin. Both of the missions you need to complete so that you can finish the main quest and move on to the next. Step 1: Arriving in Yokohama

The quest begins as you arrive in Yokohama, the game’s first open-world zone. Follow the road down the slope, and keep an eye out for resources like plants and ore deposits, which can be useful crafting materials.

Step 2: Encountering a Merchant and Restoring Public Order

Along the way, you’ll meet a traveling merchant who warns you about bandits terrorizing a nearby village. He’ll also give you Earthenware Balls for speaking with him.

As you approach the village, you’ll learn about Public Order activities, marked as red circles on the map. To restore order, defeat the enemies within the zone, including the leader in the largest building.

Step 3: Increasing Regional Bonds and Obtaining the Horse Flute

Clearing the town increases your bond with the region, unlocking collectibles on your map. Look for a dead body near a horse to loot the Horse Flute, allowing you to summon a horse anytime. You’ll also unlock the Find Medicinal Ingredients side-quest.

Step 4: Clearing Another Public Order Camp

Continue north along the main road until you reach a small camp by the water, where another Public Order event awaits. This camp has five enemies, including soldiers, a wolf, and a leader. Use stealth or engage directly to clear the camp.

Step 5: Seeking a Permit in Yokohama

Upon reaching Yokohama’s outskirts, activate the Veiled Edge Banner and speak with the gatekeeper, who asks for a permit. Head to the nearby village overrun by bandits to search for one.

In the village, restore public order by defeating the seven enemies, using tall grass and rooftops for stealth if desired. After activating the Veiled Edge Banner, speak with the village chief, who sends you to a nearby cave in search of a reward.

Step 7: Your Reward is in the Cave Mission

Before proceeding, you must complete the Your Reward is in the Cave mission. Follow the Eccentric Ronin inside the cave, looting along the way, and agree to help him at the estate gate to start the Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises mission.

The rewards you get from this mission are:

• Red Flower x3
• Medicinal Herb x3
• Sulfur x2

Step 8: Obtaining the Checkpoint Permit and Storeroom Key

After defeating Gonzo in the Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises mission, you can either loot the Checkpoint Permit and Storeroom Key from his body if you kill him or receive the key from him if you spare him.

Sparing Gonzo unlocks a bond mission, The Bad Bunch, where you can recruit him as an ally.

• Power Remedy x6
• Red Nuts x2

Step 9: Looting the Storeroom and Meeting Ryoma Sakamoto

If you spared Gonzo, the Eccentric Ronin will lead you to the storeroom. Inside, loot the Treasure Chest to obtain the Checkpoint Permit and Glider.

This triggers a conversation with the Eccentric Ronin, who introduces himself as Ryoma Sakamoto before departing for Yokohama, establishing a bond.

Step 10: Entering Yokohama

With the glider, jump from the nearby ledge and glide down to the checkpoint guard. Present your permit to enter Yokohama, cross the bridge, and witness a scene introducing new characters.
