  • Question 1: When you got to know you would be playing the matches without your captain who led you during the Indian Qualification – what was your plan and how did it feel?
    • The team revealed that they had planned for this situation in advance. Vulcan stepped up as the captain, but the absence of Meruem initially affected the team’s coordination. However, they managed to overcome the challenges and catch up on the tournament’s final day.
  • Question 2: How do you feel about getting the runner-up position in the last Pokemon tournament?
    • It feels great being the first team from India to come second on the international stage. Although, sadly, we couldn’t come first we are happy as we gave every international team a run for their money and showed internationally that True Gravity is a team you have to watch out for!
  • Question 3: How did you guys prepare for the match after being relegated to the loser bracket in the first match?
    • 1st day was a mental challenge for us as everyone in the team except XesoL hadn’t Played International LAN There was a miscommunication and a lack of coordination In the team, also we were not familiar with the given devices. We did Vod Reviews For Day 2 and changed our draft approach.
    • Our 1st loser bracket match was only the issue for us as we lacked momentum but after winning the 1st match we got the momentum and the confidence to reach the finals! We were able to play calm and give our 100%
  • Question 4: What are you unsatisfied about the last match?
    • While the team is satisfied with their overall performance, they believe they could have studied their Japanese opponents, Kabichan, more thoroughly. As Kabichan had the advantage of watching True Gravity’s lower bracket run, True Gravity feels they should have adapted their strategy and banned the comfort picks of their opponents.
  • Question 5: Do you guys believe you had a better chance of winning the finals if you had the same team from the Indian Qualification series?
    • We believe that having our original team composition with Meruem would have significantly increased our chances of winning the tournament. The last-minute substitution of Duck due to Akul’s health issues initially affected the team’s coordination. However, we have now replaced Duck with Reuben, who we believe is the perfect fit for the team.
  • Question 6: What is True Gravity’s current goal now?
    • Our current goal is to qualify for the World Championship Series (WCS) 2024 and win the Pokemon Unite World Championship in Honolulu, Hawaii.
  • Question 7: In your opinion, what is the best Pokemon to use now in the game? And why?
    • According to us the Best Pokemon to use currently in the game is Slowbro because his unite can catch anyone and this makes him very deadly in the late game, especially in the last 2 mins.
  • Question 8: What are your hopes with the upcoming Pokemon World championship – do you guys believe you can have a run similar to ACL over there?
    • We will give our best this Pokemon Unite WCS. We don’t want to play for results as long as we give our best and have fun I think we will have a good run in WCS 2024 better than ACL 2024. We have come a long way since last year and won most of the tournaments in India it has helped us build confidence and trust in each other and most importantly we have evolved as a team.

True Gravity’s journey in the Asia Cup Pokemon Unite tournament showcases the rise of Indian talent in the international competitive gaming scene. With their determination, adaptability, and strong team bond, True Gravity is poised to make a mark in the upcoming World Championship Series. As they continue to grow and evolve, they serve as an inspiration to aspiring gamers in India and beyond.
