How The Chronicled Wish Works

The Chronicled Wish event in Genshin Impact implements a similar pity system to weapon banners. However, there are some key differences:

  • Players select one 5-star character or weapon as their “Chronicled Path” before wishing.
  • After 90 wishes, there is a 50% chance to receive the selected item.
  • If the desired item is not obtained, players receive 1 Fate Point. The next 5-star is guaranteed to be the pre-selected item.
  • 4-star or higher items are guaranteed every 10 wishes.
  • When chasing a character, 5-star pity will always be a character. Same for weapons.
  • The 90 wish count carries over between Chronicled Wish banners but Fate Points reset.

This new system enables strategic planning – players can effectively guarantee their most wanted 5-star character or weapon within a maximum of 180 wishes.
