Activision Blizzard has announced the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 open beta release dates. Find out all the details here.
After months of leaks and speculations, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 finally has official open beta dates. Fans of the series can mark their calendars for early September to get their first taste of the game’s multiplayer action.
The open beta for Black Ops 6 will run from September 6 to September 9, 2024. This gives players a full weekend to dive into the game and test out its new features.
For those who can’t wait that long, there’s good news. An early access period will be available from August 30 to September 4. This early access is open to players who pre-order the game and Xbox Game Pass members.
In a notable change from previous years, Black Ops 6 will be the first Call of Duty game to have a single open beta for all platforms. This means that regardless of whether you play on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC, you’ll be able to join in at the same time. This move towards platform parity comes following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard in 2023.
The beta will give players a chance to try out several new features. This includes the Omnimovement system, which allows for more fluid directional movement.
Players can also look forward to experiencing new maps created by Treyarch across various game modes. A selection of weapons, equipment, and Perks will be available to test as well.
Those who pre-order the Vault Edition of Black Ops 6 will have access to additional content during the beta. This includes four Operators from the Hunter vs. Hunted pack and five Mastercraft weapons.
These extra items will give players more options to customize their experience during the test period.
The full release of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is set for October 25, 2024. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. In another first for the series, it will also be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
As the beta approaches, Activision promises to share more details about the game’s campaign, multiplayer, and zombie modes. Fans should keep an eye out for further announcements in the coming weeks.
