Destiny 2 players can look forward to some substantial changes coming to roaming supers in the game’s upcoming mid-season update. Bungie has revealed details about the changes, which aim to optimize the “mechanics of second-to-second combat” and give players more viable options when tackling PvE content.
One of the key changes is a significant increase in the recharge rate for roaming supers. Bungie is boosting the charge rate by 3x, which means players will be able to use these supers more frequently during activities. Internal playtests have shown players being able to generate around 6-8 Nova Warps, compared to the previous 3-5.
In addition to the faster recharge, roaming supers will now deal 30-55% more damage to Champions in Destiny 2. This should provide players with more flexibility when it comes to taking on high-end PvE content like Grandmaster Nightfalls, where burst supers have traditionally been the go-to option.
Alongside the general changes, Bungie is also buffing the performance of several individual roaming supers, including:
These changes aim to ensure that a wider variety of supers are viable options for players, rather than just the most powerful burst supers.
With these significant changes coming to Destiny 2’s roaming supers, you can look forward to having more flexibility and power when tackling the game’s challenging PvE content in the near future.
