Battle Hour Finals
The Battle Hour Finals are set to take place in Los Angeles, CA, for two days, from January 18th to January 19th, 2025. With seven more qualifier spots open during Battle Hour, there’s still a chance for competitors to secure their place in the finals.
If you want to participate, here is what you need to do:
- Registration: Opens November 12th, 2024, at 6AM PDT or 3PM CET
- Platform Requirements: You’ll need a PlayStation 5 to participate
- Sign Up: Visit start.gg for official registration
- Practice: Focus on mastering the DP Battle system with 15-point teams
The Dramatic Showdown Tournament Rules
Unlike traditional fighting game tournaments where players can pick their favorite characters, The Dramatic Showdown assigns specific characters to each region. Here’s what makes it unique:
- Pre-assigned Characters: Each regional champion must use a specific character in the finals
- Double Character System: Players can add a second character from a pool of 40 lower-powered fighters
- Character Forms: Players can choose different forms of their assigned character
- Item System: Special items will be allowed based on character power levels
Qualifier Rules
The Bandai Namco qualifiers can only play the tournament on PlayStation 5, following a best-of-three format where the first to win two games advances.
Matches will take place in DP Battle mode with a 15-point limit and a 600-second time cap. Additionally, the winner must keep the same team for the next game, while the loser has the option to switch characters between games.
