The Legacy quest is automatically triggered once you reach the top of Moonglint Tower, a crucial milestone that you’ll achieve upon completing the preceding main quest, The Guardian Gigantus. This seamless progression ensures that players are fully immersed in the narrative as they approach the game’s climactic moments.

Step 1: Defeat the Imposter
The first step in the Legacy quest involves overcoming the Pawns guarding the imposter’s ritual.
These Pawns represent a diverse range of vocations, from starter to advanced, so you must strategize to emerge victorious.
While it seems hard at first, the key to winning against all the enemies is to familiarize yourself with their attack patterns. Once you know their moves, the only thing to do is try to avoid every attacks and hit them immediately after.
Step 2: Face the Dragon
After the initial challenge, a cutscene will unveil the true identity of the Dragon that previously stole the player’s heart.
The Dragon will then present a choice: sacrifice your beloved in exchange for power or fight.
If you choose to sacrifice your beloved, you will end the quest and get the bad ending in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Step 3: Attack and Defeat the Dragon
If you choose to battle the Dragon, the final confrontation will commence on the battlefield.

The Pathfinder will then send you back to the moment when you were about to ride the Dragon into battle.
From the Dragon’s back, you must descend to the Dragon’s belly and locate the Empowered Godsbane Blade in your inventory, using it on yourself to trigger the true ending sequence.
