The Guardian Gigantus Quest Guide

To begin the Guardian Gigantus quest, you must first complete the main quest A New Godsway. Once you have cleared this mission, the Guardian Gigantus quest will automatically start.

To complete the Guardian Gigantus quest, follow these steps:

Step 1: Take the Godsbane to Phaesus

At the end of A New Godsway quest, you will receive the Empowered Godsbane from Ambrosius. You now have to take the Godsbane to Phaesus.

Follow the NPC Phaesus through the Spellseal Door located south of the Flamebearer Palace, where you’ll come face-to-face with the Gigantus, who is also in pursuit of Phaesus.

Brace yourself for a lengthy trek as you trail alongside the Gigantus until you reach the Agamen Volcanic Island.

Step 2: Disable the Gigantus (Optional)

As you make your way, you’ll come across an outpost with ballista emplacements and soldiers.

Use the ballista to target the Gigantus’s weak spots – the stakes sticking out of its wounds. This will temporarily disable the Gigantus, allowing you to climb its body and destroy the remaining stakes yourself.

While optional, this task can be rewarding, as it will grant you Wakestone Shards, which can be combined into a Wakestone.

Step 3: Go to Moonglint Tower

Once the Gigantus has been disabled, head to the nearby Moonglint Tower. Take the opportunity to rest in the lodgings if needed, and then use the glowing area to ascend and catch up to Phaesus.

Step 4: Prepare to Fight the Imposter (Point of No Return)

Follow the linear path until you reach a riftstone, where you can open a nearby chest to obtain an Allheal Elixir.

Important note! This is a point of no return, as it will trigger the next quest and the endgame, make sure you have finished the other side quests first. After you are ready, go up the stairs and be prepared to confront the Imposter.

Conclusion

Completing the Guardian Gigantus quest does not give you any rewards. However, completing this quest is mandatory for you to continue your main questline journey in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
