To get the Black Freakish Mane, you will need to kill the Gorechimera. To be able to face the monster, you first need to go to the Ultramarine Waterfall, situated northeast of Melve.

• After taking an Oxcart from Vernworth to Melve, you’ll need to embark on a journey by foot.
• Head towards the Borderwatch Outpost and continue eastward until you reach the Waterfall Cave.

Upon entering the Waterfall Cave, you’ll come across three floors, each with its own unique challenges. Stick to the main path until you reach a body of water filled with Asps, dangerous creatures that look like Saurians.

They have the ability to inflict the Blighted Debilitation status effect, which can be quite troublesome. Remember to be careful and take them out quickly to avoid getting debuffed. It’s a good idea to have some items on hand to cure the debuff just in case.

Defeat the Gorechimera

As you delve deeper into the cave, you’ll come across a crossroads, where a massive arena will be visible on one side, with a giant creature known as the Gorechimera awaiting your arrival at the center.

In the battle against the Gorechimera, you’ll face a daunting opponent with five health bars and devastating attacks that can severely harm your party. This beast features three heads, each with its own set of abilities, demanding careful strategy from your team.

• In the initial phase of the battle, the Snakehead tail remains inactive, allowing you to focus on the other heads.
• The Sheephead, positioned at the top of the creature, is the most vulnerable and susceptible to taking significant damage.
• However, reaching this weak point might pose a challenge for certain Vocations.

For ranged classes such as Mages and Sorcerers, utilizing skills like High Levin can be highly effective.

Fighters and Warriors, on the other hand, can employ skills like Launchboard to launch allies into advantageous positions, granting them better opportunities to attack the vulnerable Sheephead.
