Kay’s Default Weapon and Blaster Modifications

Every scoundrel needs a trusty sidearm, and for Kay Vess, that’s the VM19 Heavy Blaster. This pistol serves as her permanent weapon throughout the game.

While other weapons come and go, the VM19 remains a constant companion, making it crucial to understand its capabilities and upgrade options.

The VM19 Heavy Blaster can be modified with three different shot types:

1. Plasma: The standard shot type, available from the start.
2. Ion: Electrical shots that stun enemies, break shields, and deal high damage to droids.
3. Bolt: Charged shots that deal heavy damage and can break certain environmental obstacles.

These modifications are unlocked through story progression, each with its own upgrade tree. To enhance these modifications, players need to use resources at the workbench aboard the Trailblazer, Kay’s ship.
