Explore the diverse XDefiant maps inspired by Ubisoft universes in this detailed article.
The long awaited XDefiant finally has an official release date, after a lot of setbacks. One of the most interesting aspect in the game is the maps. Why? Because its a combination of Ubisoft’s most popular games. Let’s find out the details of all maps in XDefiant in this guide.
XDefiant features a total of 14 maps at launch, divided into two categories: 10 Arena maps and 4 Progression maps.
Notably, nine of these maps are inspired by iconic Ubisoft franchises, including Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry 6. The remaining five maps are original creations set within the XDefiant universe.
These intense, fast-paced maps are designed for traditional, Call of Duty-esque gameplay, with smaller spaces split into three vertical lanes. Players spawn on opposite ends and compete for control over these lanes, with spawn points switching as teams push further into enemy territory.

Unlike Arena maps, Progression maps are larger and more linear, divided into different areas with objectives for the attacking team to capture. The attacking team must progress through the map, taking each objective, while the defending team attempts to hold their ground.

Midway: Another original XDefiant map, promising to challenge players with its unique layout and objectives.
