As Honkai: Star Rail’s newest DPS character, Rappa needs the right Light Cone to reach her full potential. Unlike other Erudition characters, Rappa’s unique focus on Break damage means she has specific Light Cone requirements. Let’s break down all your options, from her signature weapon to free-to-play alternatives.

Before diving into specific Light Cones, it’s important to understand what Rappa really needs. As a Break DPS character, she benefits most from:

  • Break Effect (most important)
  • Attack (helps scale Break damage)
  • Speed (helps with turn cycling)
  • Energy Recharge (helps maintain Sealform state)

1. Ninjutsu Inscription – Dazzling Evilbreaker

  • Break Effect: +60%
  • Starting Energy: 30
  • Special Effect: Action advance after Basic Attacks

Rappa’s signature Light Cone is in a league of its own, offering everything she needs in one package. The massive 60% Break Effect boost directly empowers her core mechanic, while the 30 Energy at battle start helps her enter Sealform state immediately.

What makes this Light Cone truly special is its action advance mechanic – after using your Ultimate and two Basic Attacks, you’ll advance forward in the turn order by 50%, effectively giving Rappa more chances to deal damage. The combination of Break Effect, energy generation, and turn manipulation makes this Light Cone practically perfect for her playstyle.

2. After the Charmony Fall

  • Break Effect: +28%
  • Speed Boost: +8% after Ultimate
  • Accessibility: Gacha 4-star

For players who can’t get their hands on Dazzling Evilbreaker, After the Charmony Fall is an excellent alternative. Being the only other Light Cone that provides Break Effect for Erudition characters makes it incredibly valuable for Rappa’s kit.

While it doesn’t provide energy generation like her signature Light Cone, the combination of Break Effect and Speed makes it a strong choice for any Break-focused Rappa build.

3. Eternal Calculus

  • ATK Boost: 12% base + up to 40% with stacks
  • Speed Boost: 16% against 3+ enemies
  • Availability: Can be bought from Herta’s Store

Don’t let the lack of Break Effect fool you – Eternal Calculus is a surprisingly effective option for F2P players. What makes this Light Cone shine is its stackable Attack boost combined with a significant Speed increase when fighting multiple enemies.

Since Rappa’s Break damage scales with Attack, the potential 52% Attack boost at max stacks provides substantial damage improvement. The Speed boost against groups of enemies synergizes perfectly with her AoE capabilities, making this an especially good choice for content like Pure Fiction or Memory of Chaos.

4. Night on the Milky Way

  • ATK Boost: Up to 45% with full stacks
  • Damage Boost: 30% after breaking weakness
  • Accessibility: Standard banner 5-star

Night on the Milky Way proves its worth through sheer Attack-boosting power. The ability to gain up to 45% Attack when fighting multiple enemies gives Rappa a solid damage foundation, and the bonus damage after breaking weakness adds extra punch to her regular attacks.

While it doesn’t directly boost Break Effect, the substantial Attack increase still contributes to her Break damage potential. Consider this Light Cone if you already have it from the standard banner and haven’t pulled her better options yet.

5. Geniuses’ Repose

  • ATK Boost: 32% at S5
  • CRIT DMG Boost: 48% after defeating enemies
  • Note: CRIT DMG boost isn’t very useful for Rappa

While Geniuses’ Repose isn’t particularly designed for Rappa’s playstyle, it can serve as a temporary solution thanks to its unconditional Attack boost. At Superimposition 5, the 32% Attack increase provides a decent foundation for her Break damage.

However, the Critical Damage bonus after defeating enemies doesn’t contribute to Break damage at all, making half of this Light Cone’s effects essentially wasted on Rappa. Use this only if you don’t have access to any of the above options and have it highly superimposed.

While Rappa’s signature Light Cone is clearly her best option, you can still build a strong Break DPS Rappa with more accessible alternatives. Focus on Light Cones that provide Break Effect or Attack stats, and don’t worry too much about CRIT stats since they don’t affect Break damage. Remember that even with a budget Light Cone, proper team composition and relic builds can help Rappa perform well in challenging content.
