Step 1: Find the Treasure Hunter

To start the quest head to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake in Chapter 3. From the shrine turn around and walk along the shore. You’ll see a red building on a hill. Go through the archway and you’ll spot another building. In front of it, you’ll find the Treasure Hunter being attacked by three enemies.

Take out the three enemies to save the Treasure Hunter. Once they’re down chat with him until he has nothing new to say.

If he’s not there don’t worry. Just move on to the next step.

Step 2: Help the Freezing Treasure Hunter

  1. Go through the wooden gate near the Forest of Felicity shrine.
  2. Keep going until you pass under a second gate.
  3. Stop just before a third gate, turn left, and go down the slope.
  4. Pass under a fourth gate and you’ll see stairs. The Towers of Karma shrine is at the bottom.

Before you do anything else, equip the Ring of Fire spell. Now turn around and walk forward a bit. You’ll see the Treasure Hunter sitting in a tree to your right. He’s freezing! Cast Ring of Fire in front of him to warm him up.

Talk to him again until he runs out of things to say. This is important! If you skip this, the next part won’t work right.
