What is the Mythic Earthbending Weapon?
Mythic Earthbending is an exciting addition to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. It’s a versatile weapon with two distinct attacks. The primary fire launches a swift, bulky rock that covers long distances while dropping over time. Landing a hit with these rocks will deal 85 damage to enemies.
The alternate fire lets you instantly create an earth wall right in front of your character. This barrier stands slightly taller than the player and boasts an impressive 800 HP. It provides great protection in the heat of battle.
Where to Get Mythic Earthbending
You can obtain the Mythic Earthbending weapon from all the usual loot sources like chests and floor drops. However, if you want to guarantee getting your hands on it, you need to visit an Earth Temple. There are two of these temples and both are found in the forest region of the Fortnite map. Here is a map pointing to the location:
Earth Temple Locations:
- West of Pleasant Piazza – Look for the temple on a hill in this area
- Central Island east of Restored Hills – The temple is located directly on this island
The Earth Temples emit a distinctive bright green beacon from their tops which is visible while gliding down from the battle bus. This makes them easy to spot if you know where to look. Be careful not to mix them up with the pale green beacons of the Air Temples in a different part of the island.
How to Use Mythic Earthbending in Earth Temples
Once you’ve landed at an Earth Temple, head inside through the main entrance. Interact with the altar found within the temple and it will grant you two Mythic Earthbending weapons.
- Use primary fire to lay down long-range damage and pressure enemies. The rocks deal solid hits but have a limited charge count of 5 before needing to replenish, which takes 8 seconds per charge. Lead your shots and be smart with your attacks.
- Alternate fire is perfect for creating impromptu cover or blocking off paths. The earth wall spawns instantly and can completely change the flow of a fight. With 800 HP it can withstand a decent amount of enemy fire too. Use it to safely heal, revive allies, or set up an ambush.
Mythic Earthbending is an awesome new weapon that Fortnite players should definitely seek out and experiment with. Remember, the Earthbending weapon can be found in Earth Temples west of Pleasant Piazza and on the central island east of Restored Hills.
