Genshin Impact players are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the 4.6 update, which brings new characters, stories, and events. However, before diving into the exciting content, the game will undergo scheduled server maintenance. Here are all the details you need to know about Genshin Impact 4.6 update maintenance.
According to official announcements, Genshin Impact’s servers will go offline for the 4.6 update on April 23rd or 24th, 2024 at 6:00 AM (UTC+8). For players in different time zones, you can check the exact date and time for the maintenance here:

The maintenance is estimated to last approximately five hours. Players should be sure to use up their resin beforehand if needed.
If all goes smoothly, Genshin Impact version 4.6 is expected to release at these times:
Location | Date and Time |
North America West Coast | April 23rd, 8:00 PM PDT |
North America East Coast | April 23rd, 11:00 PM EDT |
United Kingdome | April 23rd, 4:00 AM BST |

Australia | April 24th, 1:00 PM AEST |
The actual end of maintenance may come earlier or later depending on how the process unfolds. HoYoverse has a good track record of sticking to the announced timeline.
As compensation for the downtime, Genshin Impact players can expect to find 300 Primogems in their in-game mailbox after the servers come back online. This requires reaching Adventure Rank 5 or above.
In the unlikely event that serious issues extend the maintenance unexpectedly, HoYoverse usually provides an extra 60 Primogems for each hour of additional downtime.
Once servers are live again, players can finally experience the debut of the highly anticipated 5-star Pyro polearm user Arlecchino. The update also continues the Sumeru storyline with Cyno and introduces another new character.
Moreover, Alhaitham’s little brother Freminet seems to be involved in some kind of conflict with the twins Lyney and Lynette. Players will have to progress through the new archon quest to unravel the mystery.
Genshin Impact 4.6 update promises plenty of engaging content to make it worthwhile. The free Primogems is a nice bonus that players can put towards wishing on the new character banners or save for future ones.
