Heavy Armor: Unparalleled Defense

Oh! You wanna be a tank that can barely move? Heavy armor can soak up an incredible amount of damage as it has the highest Armor rating in the game making it ideal for frontline assaults or holding strategic positions. This extra protection comes at the cost of mobility.

Extra Padding: A Passive Defensive Boost

In addition to the armor rating, Helldivers 2 introduces the concept of “extra padding,” a passive ability associated with armor pieces. While extra padding does not directly increase the overall armor rating, it does provide players with a valuable defensive bonus. With extra padding equipped, our Helldiver soldier takes significantly less damage from explosive weapons like grenades and Eagle bombs.
