Dracula is the ultimate boss in V Rising’s 1.0 update. This guide will provide detailed information on how to locate Dracula, strategies for defeating him, and the rewards players can expect upon victory.
To reach Dracula’s castle, players must first navigate through the Ruins of Mortium, a new endgame area introduced in the 1.0 update. Once players have reached the Ruins of Mortium, they can find Dracula’s castle.
Before players can enter Dracula’s castle, they must obtain the blood key. This item can be forged at the Artisan table, but players will first need to defeat Lord Styx, the Night Champion. You can find him at Dracula’s Demise.
To craft the blood key, players will need the following materials:
These materials can be found within the Ruins of Mortium, so players should explore the area thoroughly.
With the blood key in hand, players can now enter Dracula’s castle. Upon entering, players will be prompted to travel through the shadow realm to reach the final battle arena.
Fighting Dracula is an incredibly challenging encounter, even with maxed-out gear. To increase the chances of success, players should ensure they have the following items:
Upon entering the portal, players will face Dracula in a new arena. Dracula is fast and agile, frequently teleporting between players and leaving little room for error. Some of his key abilities in Phase One include:
Abilities | Description |
Dash and Slash Combo | Dracula dashes to one target and slashes another. Maintain distance from allies to avoid being caught off-guard. |
Sword Stab | Dracula repositions and stabs forward with his sword. Sidestep to avoid. |
Vertical Energy Waves | Dracula teleports and casts two vertical waves of energy. Use columns in the arena to block this attack. |
Sword Slam | Dracula slams his sword into the ground, dealing AoE damage and shooting out six waves of blood magic in a star pattern. |
Dual Boomerang Blades | Dracula regularly casts dual boomerang blades that rotate around their destination. Use pillars to block the blades. |
Wolf Transformation | Dracula transforms into a wolf and summons two smaller wolves. Focus on killing the smaller wolves first. |
Blood Storm | Dracula channels a deadly blood storm, shooting out blood orbs and a closing ring of blood. Dodge through the ring or wait for it to disappear. |
Exploding Bats | Waves of exploding bats lock onto player positions and shoot out in straight lines. Kill bats to restore a small amount of blood. |
Darkness and Bat Swarm | Dracula disappears, summoning a swarm of bats. Save dodge for when he reappears to avoid being grabbed and drained of blood. |
At around 60% health, Dracula transitions into Phase Two, shattering the arena’s pillars. This phase introduces new abilities and variations on previous ones:
Abilities | Description |
Blood Crystal | Dracula summons a massive blood crystal that rotates around the room. Dash through the outer barrier to avoid damage and being slowed. |
Wide Sword Stab | Dracula’s sword stab now has a wider AoE, making it more difficult to dodge. |
Wall of Blood Orbs | Instead of the dual boomerang axes, Dracula summons a wall of blood orbs covering a third of the arena. Move backwards to find a gap. |
Enhanced Vertical Energy Waves | Dracula now casts four vertical energy waves instead of two, alternating their curving direction. |
Blood Pools | After the sword slam, massive blood pools spawn and explode after a short delay. |
Blood Swords | Dracula calls down blood swords that pierce the ground in quick succession, slowing players caught in the attack. |
Blood Rage | Dracula teleports to the center of the room and fires homing orbs at all players while fire lines divide the arena into quarters. |
After successfully defeating Dracula, players will be rewarded with:
