This article will let you discover some strategies on how to find and defeat Black Bear Guai in Black Myth: Wukong.
Black Myth: Wukong has captured the gaming world with its stunning visuals and tough gameplay. As players explore this mythical world, they face many tough enemies. One of the most challenging is the Black Bear Guai. This guide will help you find this powerful enemy and give you tips and strategies to win the fight.
The Black Bear Guai waits for you at the summit of Black Wind Mountain, specifically in an area called Black Wind Cave. Interestingly, this arena is actually outside the cave. Before engaging in battlem a rest shrine named Bodhi Peak can be found near the boss arena entrance. This provides an opportunity to prepare for the difficult fight.
Before confronting the Black Bear Guai it’s advisable to complete the Three Bells quest. This unlocks the ability to craft the highly fire-resistant Bronze armor set. Additionally, you gain access to the Fireproof Mantle Vessel which proves invaluable during the second phase of the battle.
Leveling up and unlocking more abilities with Spark points can significantly improve chances of success too for this battle.
The Black Bear Guai possesses the ability to cloud-step wandering the arena as a cloud before rematerializing to ambush. Fortunately, you can also cloud-step to avoid these tricks. Immobilizing the boss can be effective too, but timing is crucial. Using the spell while the boss is in cloud form or airborne wastes mana.
Leaping attacks from the Black Bear Guai are relatively easy to dodge with proper timing. Most attacks involve bear claw swipes, big swiping combos, and ground slams. Perfect dodging is key, but finding openings to attack requires caution. Countering after the boss finishes a combo provides the best opportunity to land hits.
At around half health the Black Bear Guai enters a second phase. His arms become surrounded by flames adding burn damage to attacks. The Fireproof Mantle becomes crucial during this phase nullifying the boss’s fire attacks temporarily.
The boss may revert to a cloud-form charging attack pattern. Using Immobilize during this phase can break him out of cloud form leaving him momentarily staggered. However, mana conservation is important as this ability has a long cooldown.
Defeating the Black Bear Guai marks the end of Chapter 1 in Black Myth: Wukong. You will receive your first Relic (Craving Eyes) which grants one of three buffs. Additional rewards include XP, Will, various crafting materials and a Yaoguai Core.
With patience practice and proper preparation, the Black Bear Guai can be overcome easily. This victory opens the path to Chapter 2 and further adventures in the world of Black Myth: Wukong.
