The Mother of Stones Battle

The Mother of Stones fight is unlike any other boss battle you’ve faced. Despite being a formidable boss she remains stationary throughout the encounter.

However, don’t be fooled by her lack of movement – she compensates for her immobility with an enormous health pool and the ability to summon waves of helpers to defend her.

The real fight is against the helpers called Lesser Yaoguai or Poisestones. They come in waves. Here’s what to expect:

  1. First two waves: One Poisestone each time
  2. Third wave: Two Poisestones at once
  3. Fourth wave: Two more Poisestones

That’s six Palestones total. They’re the real danger.

Fighting the Poisestone

The Palestones have different attacks:

  • Up close: They do a three-hit combo
  • Medium distance: They charge at you
  • Far away: They shoot crystal energy at you

Don’t try to block or parry. Dodging works best. Always beat all the Poisestones before attacking the Mother of Stones. If you don’t you’ll get overwhelmed fast.

Battle Strategies

Here are some strategies to help you win the battle:

  • Use Spirit attacks to focus on one target
  • Use stored Focus Points
  • Use Immobilize or Cloud Step to stay safe
  • Use your Transformation Spell to beat them quickly

Don’t be scared to back off and heal. Once all six Palestones are gone the Mother of Stones can’t do anything. Keep hitting her until she breaks.
