Learn how to play multiplayer in The First Descendant with this detailed guide. Playing solo is fun, but friends make everything better!
The First Descendant is an awesome game, but it’s even better when you get to play it with your friends. Going on co-op adventures makes the whole experience way more exciting. This guide will show you just how simple it is to play multiplayer in The First Descendant.
The first step is finding the Social window. The placement of the Social window is quite awkward and hidden. When you’re in the game, hit the “M” key on your keyboard (or the map button if using a console). This will pull up the Map Screen.
On the far right side, you’ll see a “Social” section. Click on that, and the Social window will pop open.
Inside the Social window, on the left side, look for the second icon. If you are playing via Steam, you will see the Steam icon there. Click on that, and you’ll see a list of your friends who are currently online and playing The First Descendant on the same platform as you.
To get them to join you, just click on your friend’s name and select “Invite to Party.” They’ll get a notification asking them to accept or reject the invitation. Simple as that!
If you don’t have any friends playing yet, No worries! The First Descendant lets you connect with random players exploring the same area as you.
In the Social window, click on the first icon instead. Clicking it will show you a list of Local Players nearby, no matter what platforms they are playing on.
You can invite any of those players to join your party, or even add them to your Friends list so you can team up again later. There’s also a Player Search option to find specific players by typing their names.
