This limited-time event from April 22nd to May 9th, 2024 allows you to encounter Pokemon originally discovered in the Kanto region. Rediscover Kanto Event Bonuses
During the Rediscover Kanto event, you can enjoy the following bonuses:
- Increased XP for 7-day PokéStop spin streaks
- Increased XP for 7-day Pokémon catch streaks
- Faster friendship level increases from opening gifts, trading, and battling together
- Boosted shiny rates for Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle in their respective biomes
Featured Attacks
When you evolve certain Pokemon during the Rediscover Kanto event period, their final evolutions will learn powerful exclusive charged attacks:
- Evolve Ivysaur (Bulbasaur’s evolution) into Venusaur to get the Frenzy Plant charged attack
- Evolve Charmeleon (Charmander’s evolution) into Charizard to get the Blast Burn charged attack
- Evolve Wartortle (Squirtle’s evolution) into Blastoise to get the Hydro Cannon charged attack
Field Research for Mega Energy
While spinning PokeStops during the event, you may receive field research tasks rewarding Mega Energy for Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
Power up Pokemon 5 times to get 25 Mega Energy candies for each.
Special Research in Rediscover Kanto
Available for free, the Rediscover Kanto Special Research quest line will reward items, XP, Stardust, and encounters with Kanto Pokemon as you complete steps. This research does not expire, so take your time.
