Xiangli Yao, a fan favorite, is reportedly going to face some nerfs. The biggest change is to his Resonance Liberation, Cogitation Model. Its damage multipliers have reportedly been reduced by at least 300%. That’s a pretty hefty nerf!

But it’s not all bad news. Some of Xiangli Yao’s Sequences are getting tweaked:

  • S5 now gives her Outro Skill an extra 222.09% damage multiplier. Plus, Resonance Liberation’s damage multiplier is up by 120%.
  • S6 is improving the Hypercubes from Resonance Liberation. This boosts the damage multiplier of his Resonance Skill, Law of Reigns, by 76%.

While Xiangli Yao is getting toned down Zhezhi is getting some love. Her kit is getting buffed to make her a better resonator. The main change is to her Resonance Skill, Creation’s Zenith. The duration of its Basic Attack damage boost is going from 25 seconds to 27 seconds. Those extra two seconds can make a big difference in battle!

There’s also a shake-up to Zhezhi’s Sequences. Her Sequence 1 and Sequence 2 have been swapped around. This could change up her gameplay in interesting ways.

It’s worth noting that Xiangli Yao is expected to be a free 5-star unit in version 1.2. So even with the nerfs, he’ll still be a valuable addition to many players’ rosters.

When to Expect These Changes

Wuthering Waves version 1.2 is set to launch on August 15, 2024. But remember, there’s still time for more tweaks before the official release. The closed beta testing might bring even more changes to these characters.

Remember that this information comes from leaks, so take it with a grain of salt until there are official announcements from Kuro Games.
